How You Can Support the BEF

Each fall, the BEF asks BPS staff and families to show their support for the BEF during our Annual Fund campaign, and we are continually grateful for and honored by the response we receive from you. Thank you. Did you know there are other ways that you can help us? Read on to find out more!

• ​Like us on Facebook, and when you see one of our posts, share it! Facebook limits the number of people who can see our posts, but having you like and share our posts helps get the information out.
  
  
• Follow us on Twitter (@SupportBEF), and retweet us. Tag us in tweets related to the great things happening in your schools, and we’d be happy to return the favor!
  
  
• Shopping on Amazon? Start at smile.amazon.com and select “Birmingham Public Schools Charitable Foundation” as your charity of choice.
  
  
• Volunteer! During there year there are a number of times when the BEF would love to have your help, including our tailgate on September 23, the Bash on February 11, our garage sale in March, and more! Or maybe you have a particular skill and would be willing to lend us your expertise. Get in touch, and we'll find a place for you!
  
  
• Support BEF while you shop at Kroger. Visit the Kroger website to register your Kroger Plus Card with the Kroger Community Rewards program, selecting the “Birmingham Public Schools Charitable Foundation” as the organization you want to support. Remember, you have to renew this annually, so if you’ve done it in the past, it might be time to do it again!
  
  
• Are you a BEF grant recipient? Make sure to let the parents know about the grant, and the BEF during the year! If you’re really excited about your grant, let the BEF know, and we can work together to highlight your classroom.
  
  
• Do you know of a business in the area who might be interested in partnering with the BEF? Let us know about it! We’d love spread the word about the amazing things happening in your classes beyond our school walls.
