Each year, the Birmingham Education Foundation generates excitement about the innovative programs it supports through special events. Community organizations, local businesses, and individuals have an opportunity to directly impact the mission of the BEF by sponsoring or underwriting a portion of these events.

EXPEDITON 2015-DESIGNING A BETTER WORLD
This science celebration is open to the entire community!

 

Join us on April 22, 2015 at 6-8 pm at Groves High School. This is a great way to spend Earth Day! Students from all 13 schools will be sharing important STEAM activities and projects they have been involved. There are hands-on science activities, and entertainment for all. The last few years over 700 students and their families have attending this special event.

We are looking for businesses, organizations and universities that would like to take part in this important evening dedicated to science. Apply today at http://tinyurl.com/expedition2015 Applications must be received by March 23, 2015.

The Unabashed Bash

Our signature event, the Unabashed Bash is a special dinner and night filled with festivities that takes place at the Townsend Hotel. The evening features live and silent auction opportunities, musical selections from student performers, and a focus on student accomplishments.

The Unabashed Bash will be held Febuary 7, 2015! Make sure to mark your calendar. Order your tickets today!

Bash

The “Bash,” as it is fondly known, is the Foundation’s most significant fundraising event and is well attended by both educators, parents and community leaders.

Block Kids for Girls:

This free Girls Only STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) event. will help foster and cultivate interest in STEAM related fields for our girls. Block Kids is made available by the National Association of Women in Construction-Detroit Chapter, along with Birmingham Public Schools and the Birmingham Education Foundation. This sold out event is offered to 60- 4th & 5th Grade girls.  

We regret that this event has already sold out for this year. We will let you know of future opportunities.
